The Friends of the Dales Countryside Museum work to promote and improve DCM by fundraising, volunteering and arranging events.

Friends gain free entry to the Museum, have lots fun and make a big difference to the Museum's success. Why not join today?!

We rely on donations and other financial support to continue our work of recording and sharing the history of the Dales.

Can you please help?

Visit our Support us page to see how you can give and how we use the donations we receive.

Our volunteers are crucial to our continued success.

They help with practical work, managing the collection, helping the public with research and running events. If you love the Museum as much as we do, why not consider giving some of your time to help the Museum?

Just like the reputed task of painting the Forth Bridge, our collection will never be finished!

If you have any items that are integral to the history of the Yorkshire Dales and you would like to consider giving or lending them to the Museum, we would love to hear from you.
