What we’re doing to help keep all visitors, staff and volunteers safe at the Dales Countryside Museum and Hawes National Park Visitor Centre.
This page explains the changes we’ve put in place to ensure a safe visit for all.
Keeping everyone safe
As restrictions in England ease, we want to ensure that all our visitors, staff and volunteers still feel safe and comfortable when exploring our sites.
We have decided therefore to continue to operate with the following COVID-19 safety measures:
Face Coverings
We highly recommend wearing a face covering to protect you and the people around you. For the benefit of visitors and staff, please wear one if you are able.
Sanitiser Stations
We have provided hand-sanitiser stations around the site for your use and encourage you to use these.
One Way System and Social Distancing
We have introduced one-way routes and waiting points where you can look and see that the way is clear. This will make sure you can maintain 2m social distancing.
Shop
Protective screens are in position at our tills and contactless payments are encouraged.
Enhanced Cleaning
Enhanced cleaning regimes will continue, and hand sanitiser is available throughout the museum. All our toilets and facilities are open.
Do not visit if you have symptoms of COVID-19
Please do not visit if you have any COVID-19 symptoms. You should stay at home and follow the government guidance.
NHS Track and Trace
We are continuing to offer visitors the opportunity to participate in NHS Test and Trace. You can either do this by providing your contact details when you book your tickets online or by scanning the QR code on entry.
We hope you will enjoy your day with us!
