We are always pleased to welcome larger groups to Dales Countryside Museum to explore the fascinating history of the Yorkshire Dales, and we are certain that your group with have a fantastic day out!

It doesn't matter where you come from - local history group, community group or anywhere else - if there are 10 or more people in your group, the Museum entry fee is reduced to just £4 per person.

Please get in touch with us in advance of your visit as we really like to make groups' visits even more special by providing activities and resources or by making parts of our collection available to view that match your interests or requirements.

If, for example, your group is focusing on a particular topic or era, or you are visiting the Museum to see a specific part of the collection, please let us know. We can often arrange for your group to see artefacts that are not usually publically available.

To make your visit even more unique, we can also organise specialist talks for larger groups. We have good contacts with local experts in a variety of fields (including staff from the National Park Authority), so do get in touch and we'll do our best to help.

All facilities normally available to individual visitors are also available to groups, but we can also organise additional services for groups such as arranging for refreshments or providing a room to leave coats and bags while enjoying the Museum.

For more information about how we can help school groups and groups from other organisations, please see the Learning with DCM section. If you have any queries about bringing your group to the Museum, just contact us.
