The Friends of the Dales Countryside Museum is a fully registered charitable trust. The Friends play a crucial role in providing financial support for acquisition purchases and match funding for projects.

You can join the friends for £10 a year.
Your membership entitles you to:
- Free entrance to the Museum
- Free copy of ‘Now Then’ the FDCM annual publication
- Free entry to Friends Lectures.

What the Friends do for the Museum:
Raising funds by applying for grants and providing match funding. Projects they have supported includes:
- Purchase of the Viking ring from Sedbergh
- Treasured Possessions community project
- Outdoor trail development
- Hidden History project
- Events funding
- Contemporary art commissioning
How to become a Friend of the Museum:
Anyone can become a member of the Friends. Call into the museum and ask about becoming a Friend.
