Gallery Description

Textile gallery:  Collections of knitting sticks, quilts and knitting from 19th Century onwards

Farming gallery: Farming objects, dairying artefacts and farmhouse kitchen.

Makers and Menders gallery: Blacksmith and Tinsmith, clock makers and cloggers.

Dr Surgery: The contents of the old Doctors surgery at Brough

Lead mining gallery: Mineral collection, leisure time, objects found in lead mines, Lead pigs, mine carts and peat harvesting. Our replica mining tunnel with dripping and digging noises

Train: First carriage contains our children’s interactive mini museum, dressing up clothes, train set and museum shelves to create your own museum display.

  • We have a complimentary ticket policy for personal assistants.
  • There is at least 1 public toilet for disabled visitors. At least one toilet is a Changing Places toilet.
