The main toilets are located on the lower floor with access via a permanent ramp from the reception entrance area.
There is a public toilet for disabled visitors that has a functional emergency alarm and wall mounted rails and a changing places toilet facility that has a height adjustable adult sized changing bench, a tracking hoist system and adequate space in the changing area for the person with additional needs and up to two carers..
Changing Places Toilet
A Changing Places toilet is a step up from a standard ‘Disabled Toilet’. It contains extra equipment and space to allow people with profound learning disabilities, as well as people with physical disabilities such as spinal injuries, muscular dystrophy and multiple sclerosis, to use the toilet safely and comfortably.
The Changing Places toilet will be open at the same time as the Dales Countryside Museum is open and is located at the rear of the museum which you can reach via the accessible ramp. Our Information Advisors will be happy to guide you when you arrive at our main reception area.

Baby changing facilities are available in both male and female toilets as well as the changing places toilet.
There are also public toilets outside in the carpark including RADAR toilet facilities.
