Our Hands on History sessions are held on a Thursday afternoon from 1pm – 4pm with Liz.

They are included in the museum admission and there is no need to book.

13-08-2026 –  Roman Finds – Handle Roman finds and find out what they tell archaeologists.

20-08-2026 – Roman Surveying – How did Romans make their roads so straight? Find out and have a go.

27-08-2026 – Roman Tiles – From hypocausts to roofing, find out about Roman tiles, handle 2000 year old tiles, and make your own.
