Thanks to the generous support of our Friends of the Dales Countryside Museum, we’ve acquired three beautiful paintings by our founder, Marie Hartley.

Marie’s legacy lives on through her wood engraving blocks, sketchbooks, diaries, and personal items, but until now, her paintings had never been displayed here. These artworks will soon be showcased in our New Time gallery, alongside the very umbrella Marie used while painting outdoors.
